After the tragic events of September 11, 2001, I was struck by the unity and compassion, not only of New Yorkers, but people all across America. It made me question, why does it take a catastrophe like this for people to be at their best. I approached local Congressman Felix Grucci who also thought it was a good idea and H. Res. 308 was passed on 12/18/2001 ! |
